Channel Measurement – no duplicate records, no redundancy

Starting position of each control and measurement in the indirect sales are the sell-out-data of the producers (1st tier), of the distributors (2nd tier) as well as of the sub distributors (3rd tier).

The cannel measurement solution of salestron consolidates, validates and checks these sell-out-data in his characteristic and intelligent way. On the basis of an independent data base and the internal IWD-technology (intelligence-import-watchdog), salestron controls the whole import of the sell-out-data – no duplicate records, no redundancy.

During the import process, the partners are automatically and intelligently consolidated and validated. Depending on the distributor contracts, the sell-out-data can be imported automatically each day, regardless of file formats (CSV, EDI, ASCI, XML, etc.). An extensive number of interfaces guaranty the communication with other applications and/or data bases.

The advantages of salestron’s own IWD-technology at a glance:

  • No duplicate records, no redundancies
  • Direct import of the sell-out-data out of the whole channel. It is not necessary to standardize the format. You can define the individual import format for each data source. At present, the following formats may be used: CSV, EDI, ASCII-formats, XML and DOM-web files.
  • Each data source can be entered at user-defined intervals. Data source 1 may send the daily sell-out-data, whereas data source 2 sends the monthly sell-out-data.
  • The IWD-technology unites automatically duplicates when entering the data. The specially developed algorithm determines the percentage agreement of possible duplicates and finds a high number of the same partner in an automated way.
  • The uniform product information of the sell-out-data may not always be possible. The products can be assigned by the internal and independent product management, even if they do not correspond to the official product information.
  • The IWD-technology sets a one hundred percent process capability. This means that you can receive sell-out-data in an automated way, consolidate and validate them and forward the report or the data user-specifically.
